Privacy policy
Last updated 16 October 2026.
SPC Enterprises runs Oten Search. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what we do with it. We follow the Australian Privacy Principles.
Our customers (businesses using Oten Search)
We keep your name, email, business name, login details (passwords are stored only as a secure hash), and your Neto API username and key (encrypted). Payment details are held by Stripe, not us. We use these to run your account, bill you and contact you about the service.
Shoppers on our customers' websites
When someone uses the search on a website that uses Oten Search, we record:
- what they searched for, what was shown and what they clicked;
- pages they opened on that website, and the website they came from;
- an anonymous ID kept in their browser, and the type of device and browser (not the full browser details);
- if they're logged in to that website, their username on it;
- a daily-changing scrambled code made from their network address and browser, to join up visits. We don't store the network address itself.
We collect this on behalf of the website's owner, who can see it in their dashboard. We don't sell it, use it for advertising, or share it with other customers. Search history is kept for as long as the website uses Oten Search, then deleted.
Where data is kept
On servers in Sydney, Australia. Our providers: Fly.io (hosting), Stripe (payments) and our email provider (account emails).
